ABOUT BRAT.

Formed in november 2017; Brat are a five member girl group signed to Chapel Records. Each member of the fierce quintet was scouted by the company to be added to the group for their strong, feminist message- be that through social media premise or prior activity in the industry. Brat's bombastic sound is never quite the same twice; as rooted in hip-hop as it is in radio friendly pop hits. The girls' named influences range all the way from kendrick lamar to the spice girls, and their mission? To empower every different type of woman. Each member of brat is a individual- highlighted by the group's genre-bending music giving each girl her own chance to shine. Promoting female friendship and the strength one can draw from that, Brat aim to take their throne by never apologize for their strength and never compromising their feminist message.

Taking their collective girl power and spinning it into gold, brat exploded onto the scene in June of 2018 with their unapologetic anthem 'BXTCH.' Cementing their status as rookies to watch out for; Brat's eclectic but powerful sound won over heart after heart; however, rarely does a powerful woman shine without opposition.

Following the release of their comeback singles Fire and Selfish, the ladies found themselves sweeped in controversy as the contents of their lyrics came into question; particularly the explicit innuendos littering the verses of title track Fire.

After only a week of promotion, Brat's promotional era was abruptly cut short as the group found their tracks banned from the air. Amongst outrage from fans and from the girls themselves, the powers that be deemed the songs unplayable- and it was back to the drawing room for our dolls.
